Kagiso Rabada Breaks Waqar Younis’ Record for Fastest 300 Test Wickets

During the Test match being played in Mirpur against Bangladesh, South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada broke the record of Pakistan fast bowler Waqar Younis by getting the fastest 300 wickets.

In the opening match of the 2-Test series between Bangladesh and South Africa, the host team was bowled out after scoring just 106 runs on the first day.

7 players of Bangladesh could not enter double figures, Mahmoodul Hasan Joy was the top scorer by scoring 30 runs, while Tejul Islam scored 16 runs, Mehdi Hasan Mirza scored 13 runs and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 11 runs.

For South Africa, Kagiso Rabada, Wayan Milder and Keshav Maharaj took 3 wickets each.

Bangladesh had 3 players out for 21, in such a situation, Rabada dismissed the wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim to get his 300th career wicket.

Rabada became the first in the list of fastest to 300 wickets, he accomplished this feat in 11,817 balls, breaking the record of Waqar Younis, who achieved the feat in 12,602 balls.

It should be noted that this is the first cricket series in the country after the end of the government of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajid as a result of the student protest movement in Bangladesh.
